Electricity vs oil

Since the 1950’s we have been using an oil-fired boiler to heat our buildings. This oil boiler has devoured quantities of oil – expensive and a No Good for the environment.

In the autumn of 2013 we turned the oil boiler off. Outside the forge, we have drilled five holes approximately 175 meters deep. This allows us to utilize the heat in the groundwater. We pump it and turn it into heat on our premises. The pump supplies 42 kW to our hot water heaters, installed in the 1950’s.
