Although Wetterling’s has been in Storvik since the early 1880’s, not many people knew, or visited the company. We wanted to change that. We invited to an “Axe Day”. Several thousand people visited us that day and got to see how axes were forged, grinded and finished. They got to chop wood and they bought axes. Visitors can bring their old axes and have them regrinded and even re-shafted if needed.
The event was inaugurated by the county governor, who, like many others, walked away with a solid understanding of axe making and axe throwing.
This event has become an annual event.
